The City of Reedsburg has received assistance from the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD) in the form of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds in previous years. The primary objective of the CDBG program is the development of communities by providing opportunities for decent housing, a safe living environment, and expanded economic opportunities to, principally, low or moderate income persons.
CDBG Applications (see below attachments):
If you or your organization is interested in receiving a community development block grant, you must submit a completed application to the City of Reedsburg - CDBG Rehabilitation Program C/O Sue Koehn.
The City is currently seeking applications for CDBG-eligible projects.
Application, Plans, Performance Reports and forms:
The City completes an annual plan that identifies community needs and priorities and an annual performance report that evaluates program outcomes and accomplishments. In addition, a long-range plan is completed every five years.
Citizen Participation Plan
The Department of Housing and Urban Development requires that municipalities receiving CBDG funds develop and follow a detailed plan which provides for and encourages citizen participation and emphasizes participation by persons of low/moderate income, blighted areas, and areas in which the City proposes to use CDBG funds.
