On behalf of the men and women of the Reedsburg Police Department, I welcome you to our official home on the World Wide Web. The Reedsburg Police Department has been proudly protecting and serving the citizens of Reedsburg since 1868. From modest beginnings, the police department has grown to 20 fulltime police officers. They consist of the Chief of Police, a Lieutenant, four Sergeants assigned to each of the three patrol shifts, two Detectives, a Canine Handler, a School-Liaison Officer, and ten patrol officers.
The police department also maintains its own dispatch center, which operates around-the-clock. The dispatch center and reception area are staffed by seven civilian employees who handle calls for service, counter calls, and records requests.
The Reedsburg Police Department takes pride in its relationship with the community and that is illustrated by our dedication to our motto of “Oath, Mission, Code”. All officers have also voluntarily taken the “Oath of Honor” that re-affirms our original Oaths of Office and commitment to professional and ethically sound law enforcement.
After a lengthy and comprehensive evaluation, the Department was accredited by the Wisconsin Law Enforcement
