Voting & Elections

Polling Location:
All citizens within the Reedsburg City Limits vote at the Reedsburg Recreation Center, located below City Hall at 134 S. Locust Street. Please use the entrance off of Vine Street. Look for the and sign.

Poll Hours:
Polls are open from 7:00 am - 8:00 pm each election day.

Voter Registration:
All first-time voters in the City of Reedsburg must register before a ballot can be issued to them. You can register at City Hall anytime during normal business hours, or you can register at the polls on election day. Registration forms may also be mailed to City Hall as long as they are accompanied by a photocopy of a current WI driver's license. Mailed registration forms must be received by City Hall no later than 20 days prior to an election. (See forms section below to download a Voter Registration Form.)

You will need to provide a current and valid photo I.D. (ie. WI driver's license). If the I.D. does not have your current Reedsburg address, you will also need to bring an acceptable proof of residence with a current and complete residential address (ie. current utility bill, bank statement, pay check or government document).

Absentee Voting:
An elector does not need to provide a reason when applying for an absentee ballot. The ballots are normally available about one month before the election. Wisconsin state statutes require that electors either vote on the premises or have an absentee ballot sent via mail. Ballots may not be carried out of the clerk's office.

An elector may cast an absentee vote in-person at City Hall during normal business hours (Monday - Friday 7:30 am - 4:00 pm). City Hall will be open until 5:00 pm on the Friday before the election to accept absentee ballots.

An elector may also request an absentee ballot be sent via mail by submitting a completed Application for Absentee Ballot by the Thursday before the election. Absentee ballots must be received by 8 PM election day.
