Bids for Grass/Weeds/Junk Abatement

The City of Reedsburg will accept bids on grass/weed mowing in support of Municipal Code enforcement. There may also be an opportunity for junk removal and disposal which may be included in the bid. Bids will be accepted for each of the following areas.

Citizen Participation Wanted

Reedsburg, Wisconsin – The City of Reedsburg has opportunities for residents of the City to serve as citizen members on a number of committee and commission.  Get involved and help shape the direction of City government.  Interested residents should fill out a Citizen Participation Packet.  The Mayor makes all citizen appointments, subject to confirmation by City Council.  Let your voice be heard and make a difference right here in your own community.

New Development Downtown

Demolition has begun for the Walnut Street Flats, a 33-unit multi-family complex at 201 Walnut St.

The three-story development would extend between Vine and Walnut streets and would sit next to the Reedsburg Police Department. Units with 1, 2 and 3 bedrooms will be available with 36 parking spaces, according to developer Cohen-Esrey Development Group of Overland, Kansas.


Seasonal Reminder

Winter parking regulations will be in effect from December 1st to April 1st. The purpose of this is to make snow removal more efficient, but the ordinance is in effect whether it has snowed or not. The police will be issuing tickets for violations.

On even days vehicles park on the even side of the street.  On odd days vehicles park on the odd side of the street.  Even and odd days are determined by the calendar date in effect from 2:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m.

Sidewalks must have ice and snow removed within 24 hours after a snowfall regardless of the depth of the snow. If a sidewalk is not shoveled, it may be cleared by City crews and the homeowner will be charged.
